    SATX Fast Rope met on 16 June 2016 at Mama’s Café.  Joe Dominguez facilitated.

    DISCUSSIONS:

    C Ludwig: introduced the group to a new program called Onward to Opportunity (O2O) run out of JBSA by Anthony Cosby and Angenetta Lambert of Syracuse University. Their primary mission is to have service members actually have a job in hand when they separate from their service. POC is Anthony Cosby, phone (210) 844-8154 or email atcosby@syr.edu.  Alamo Chapter AFCEA is looking for topics for training sessions at this year’s ACE.

    J Copher: retired AF Intel Officer, briefed IGOCKI capabilities – software developer for non-profits, looking to move into Federal spaces.  Have applied for 8a status.  See attached.

    B Bartlett: Mr. Bobby Watts, Small Business Advocate at Randolph retires on 29 July.  Bexar County’s Small, Minority, Women and Veteran Business Owners (SMWVBO) conference will be on 7 Dec 2016 at the Freeman Coliseum.  Learn more from the website https://www.bexar.org/130/SMWBE-December-Conference.   

    B Carron: 24th AF Change of Command (MG Weggeman takes over from MG Wilson) on 17 June.

    D McNeeley: With new 24th AF commander, what will become of the Cyber Proving Ground move.

    M Hess: GDIT is looking for 8a companies with training and cyber experience.

    J Diana: Caliber won a prime position on OPM’s HCaTS vehicle. FAR is now updated to allow direct awards to WOSB.  Currently experiencing 60 days or more before interim clearances are granted.

    D Ramos: Busy with NETCENTS 2 bids and also experiencing delays in obtaining clearances.

    N Patton: CSRA is now more willing to sub to SB; DHA’s MRS/MDRSS are 8a opportunities CSRA is looking to team on.

    E Smith: Risk Management Framework teaches RMF.  Suggested Ernest contact AFCEA (Chuck Ludwig) to suggest RMF be added to the ACE training opportunities.

    J Dominguez: Four recent top-5 budget accounts analysis for DHS, GSA, AF and VA were released.  All are attached.

    Next meeting is currently scheduled for 21 July 2016 at Mama’s Café.
