· From Boyd Stevens: So those of you who know me know that I do not host events, networking outings, etc. events, networking outings, etc. These are simply not my cups of tea BUT the younger whipper snappers who are a part of our tech community building efforts have somewhat twisted my arm into hosting an after hour meet and greet /networking event during this year's AFITC Conference on this coming Monday evening(26 August) from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Prevail Union Coffee Shop. The primary target of this event is to showcase the "Local IT/Tech companies/IT based organizations and to celebrate the regional STEAM(science, technology, engineering, ARTS, and mathematics) efforts. More details will be forth coming over the next 24 hours. There will be a seperate email sent out on this.
· Stratice Consulting Ribbon Cutting: Before you head out for the day, mark your calendar for Monday, August 26, 2019! Stratice has officially moved to the Kress Building in downtown Montgomery (lower Dexter Avenue) and a celebration is definitely in order! To best accommodate everyone, we’re splitting the party into two parts. Pop by from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for one-on-one time with our executives. Come by from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for cocktails and light apps! Or come to both! We’d love to see you here. See the flyer attached to the Notes.
· BEST Robotics. Behind the scenes a lot of people have worked to establish a new host and venue for the BEST Robotics competition. The 2019 BEST will be held here in Montgomery with the following key dates:
