    Position Summary:

    Segue Technologies seeks a Software Developer to support the United States Air Force (USAF) Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Operations, Air Force Financial Systems Office SAF/FMF (AFFSO) and provide cybersecurity and information security services to the Automated Funds Management (AFM) system. This is a full-time position located primarily at Segue’ Office, Beavercreek, OH, with occasional short travel to the customer site, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, and with potential travel to Segue HQ, Arlington, VA.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provide application functional design, coding, code review, unit testing, debugging, support and other phases of the SDLC
    • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle from analyzing, designing, developing, and troubleshooting to implementing software applications, procedures and functions for the client’s programs
    • Collaborate with team to understand and translate requirements, and ensure that specifications and architecture design meet broader technical strategic goals
    • Collaborate with team members throughout the development process in ensuring best practices and designing scalable analytics infrastructure and data transformation/aggregation processes
    • Provide expert application design guidance on solution system designs, redesigns for platform, performance, and integration of new technical features and capabilities
    • Develop and/or maintains a sustainable front-end framework and coordinates with other team members
    • Estimate timeline for assigned projects and ensures that work is completed with the estimate given
    • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of short- and long-term technology plans and related policies and procedures
    • May translate business requirements into specific designs and/or participate in the design, evaluation and selection of IT solutions for software for a specific business process
    • Additional tasks as required

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical area of study plus 5+ years of relevant technical experience. 5-7 years of Information Technology (IT) experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an IASAE II Certification required (CASP, CISSP, or CSSLP) after hire
    • Must have knowledge in the following areas:
    • Java
    • Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML)
    • Java Server Pages (JSP)
    • Java Script
    • J-Query and other JavaScript Plug-Ins
    • Structured Query Language (SQL)
    • Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (ORACLE PL-SQL) functions, packages, database views, constraints, and triggers
    • Database generated reports and files in Portable Document Format (PDF), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Microsoft Products
    • Source Code Control
    • Experienced with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards throughout all software developed
    • Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance after hire

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Designer and MS Office integration
    • Experience developing applications using ASP.NET, WCF, WF, C#, AJAX, CSS
    • Experience with XML, Web Services, .NET CLR, Active Directory, Entity Framework, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, SSIS, T-SQL, Oracle WebLogic and Database Security
    • Previous experience working with the US Air Force or DoD
    • Linux and Solaris 10 Operating Systems
    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Active IASAE II Certification (CASP, CISSP, or CSSLP)
