    Position Summary:

    Segue Technologies seeks a Software Developer Intern to be focused on Pega Software Development. The internship will consist of performing the role of a PEGA developer. The intern will learn about the use of PEGA in applications development and the development life cycle. The intern will be a part of an Agile team working on real projects and defects and will get development assignments from technical lead or Project Manager.

    This a part-time position, 20-24 hours a week located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. Available immediately.


    Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Work as part of a team to analyze issues and requirements and translate these into processes and/or software development tasks
    • Complete application development services from initial requirements development to deployment to a production environment and continuing with sustainment throughout the application’s lifecycle
    • Work with stake holders and business area subject matter experts to translate business requirements
    • Write, modify and debug software for SharePoint and other servers
    • Write code to create single-threaded, multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone and those which access servers or services
    • Test and document software for applications
    • Meet established deadlines
    • Additional tasks as required

    Required Skills:

    • 0-1 year of software development experience
    • Ability and willingness to adapt to and learn new technologies and tools
    • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • U.S. Citizen
    • Must hold or be able to pass a Federal Background investigation to obtain a T1 (also known as Public Trust or NACI)

    Desired Skills:

    • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Engineering, or another technical field or related major
    • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Active Department of Defense (DOD) Federal Background investigation T1 (also known as Public Trust or NACI)
    • Pega curriculum and/or experience working with Pega
