John Horton is Vice President Federal Solutions for IT Data Consulting. He is a visionary and strategist who possesses over 40 years of progressive management and leadership experience. Mr. Horton is a proud U.S. Navy veteran who enlisted at age 17. He earned four college degrees, including a B.S. in Management from FIU, and also studied abroad at Oxford Brookes University (formerly Oxford Polytechnic) in England before becoming a DoD civilian and working for the U.S. Army in Italy and Germany.
After leaving government service, he further honed his management skills in the private sector. Mr. Horton worked primarily in the healthcare industry, managing several hospital departments including the University of Maryland Medical System. He also served as a productivity and efficiency consultant in the healthcare and medical logistics industries before becoming a government contractor.
During his career, Mr. Horton has excelled at the executive level with several prestigious firms, specializing in corporate development, business development, program management, and strategic planning. For the past 22 years his primary efforts have been in support of professional services-related projects with a focus on program management, IT services, call/response centers, subject matter expert support, facilities management, telemedicine, statistical analysis, help desks, physical security, administrative support, and medical logistics, both nationwide and abroad.
