NEW HORIZONS 2018 27-28 February 2018 The Lexington-Concord Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is pleased to announce New Horizons 2018 to be held 27-28 February 2018, at the Marriott Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts. Our agenda reflects today’s dynamic environment and includes a broad regional look at nearterm opportunities while retaining the important interchange between the government and industry partners. Major General Sarah Zabel, Director of Information Technology Acquisition will be our Keynote Speaker. This year’s agenda includes the Hanscom AFB Program Executive Officers (PEOs) and their Division Chiefs, PEO for Nuclear Command, Control and Communications, U.S. Army RD&E Command, Multi Domain Command and Control (MDC2), Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and GSA. We will also host a panel on “Agile Software Development Operations”. The second day will conclude by 1:30 pm, followed by AFLCMC Government Small Business panel. The afternoon session is not a formal part of New Horizons and will be announced separately through FEDBIZOPS. We will host an AFCEA “Gold Circle” breakfast on February 28th Guest Speaker is TBD. Proceeds from this event directly benefit the Chapter’s scholarship program, which support the local military community and STEM education efforts in area schools and colleges. Separate registration is required for the Gold Circle Breakfast and details can be found on the chapter website. REGISTRATION The registration fee is $575 for industry (including the Gold Circle Breakfast) and free for active duty military and government civilians. There are three ways to register: 1) online at www.afceaboston.com; 2) by submitting the attached form with payment and mail to Lexington-Concord Chapter, AFCEA, at the address shown; 3) by emailing Claire Goulet at cvgoulet@gmail.com Telephone registrations will not be accepted. Cut-off date for registration is 12 February 2018. Registrations received after the cut-off date will be assessed a $50 late fee (space available). On 12 February 2018, registrations will be confirmed and additional administrative details will be furnished. Cancellations must also be made by 12 February 2018 to receive refund of payment. Please note that each registration fee covers only one attendee. Attendance is limited to 450 persons. Reservations will be taken on first-come, first serve basis. A large response is anticipated, so please register early. AFCEA routinely sells this event to capacity. LODGING Lodging and transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the attendees. The Marriott Newton Hotel in Newton, MA (617-969-1000 – hotel reservation link can be found at www.afceaboston.com) is the symposium hotel and a block of rooms have been reserved. To receive the AFCEA conference room rate of $190, reservations must be made no later than 5 February 2018. Please mention AFCEA when making your reservations to ensure the conference rate.
