Warfighter Perspective

Sergeant Major Eric Lee McCullough, US Army, from Montrose, CO, enlisted in the Unites States Army in July 1997 as a Signals Intelligence Analyst.  SGM McCullough’s initial was to Fort Bragg, NC from May 1998-July 2006; 525th Military Intelligence Brigade (LRSC Boat Team and SIGINT Analyst Team Leader); 313th Military Intelligence Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division (Squad Leader, Air Operations NCOIC, and Platoon Sergeant); 3rd Brigade Support Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division (Platoon Sergeant). In July 2006, SGM McCullough was assigned to the Department of Defense Field Research Activity at Fort Meade, MD (Team Sergeant, Senior Analyst, and Detachment SGM). Since August 2017, SGM McCullough has been assigned to the 1st Capabilities Integration Group, US Army Special Operations Command at Fort Belvoir, VA (Operations SGM, Air Operations SGM, and Military Freefall Program Manager and Course Director). Throughout his career, SGM McCullough has conducted over one dozen Humanitarian and Global War on Terror (GWOT) related Combat Deployments supporting Combatant Commanders in the CENTCOM (Afghanistan) and AFRICOM (Africa) Areas of Responsibility.
