Dear Defense Industry Professional, 

The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is a corporate university for the Defense acquisition workforce. Our mission is to provide a global learning environment to develop qualified acquisition, requirements, and contingency professionals who deliver and sustain effective and affordable warfighting capabilities. We accomplish this through collaboration with government, industry, and academia and by sharing ideas, challenges, and best practices. DAU Midwest Region would like to invite you and your representatives to attend a meeting at our Kettering, Ohio campus. Our target participants for this event are senior program managers, contracting officers, and training and workforce development representatives. Your attendance will allow us to collaborate to improve Defense Acquisition outcomes and ultimately provide better capability to our warfighters. Please feel free to pass this invitation to any of your colleagues you think may be interested. As you are aware DAU is the one institution that touches nearly every member of the Defense Acquisition Workforce throughout all professional career stages. We provide a full range of basic, intermediate, and advanced certification training, assignment-specific training, performance support, job-relevant applied research, and continuous learning opportunities. At our Industry Day we would like to tell you about who we are and our role in the Miami Valley Defense Acquisition Community, and how we might benefit you. We will discuss how DAU can help your workforce keep current considering changes in acquisition policy and what we are doing to help grow the future acquisition workforce. We will share information on our vast array of on-line resources available to our partners and students. Finally, we will discuss opportunities to collaborate to include through the innovation ecosystem, which was directed by Congress in the most recent National Defense Authorization Act. 

The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 3100 Research Blvd, Pod 4, Kettering, Ohio 45322, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending by 12:00 p.m. Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. We will provide additional details once we have a complete list of attendees.
